The wine received widespread national and international acclaim, and since then, Chryseia and its second wine, Post Scriptum, have consistently ranked among the most highly rated Douro wines.

Chryseia was the first Portuguese non-fortified wine to appear in Wine Spectator's prestigious annual Top 100 Wines list. It has now featured three times on this influential list, with Chryseia 2011 earning an impressive number three spot in 2014, the highest-ever ranking for a Douro wine. The combination of Bordeaux winemaking techniques with the rich Portuguese terroir has resulted in wines that showcase elegance, power, and complexity, marking Prats & Symington as a leader in modern Douro winemaking.
